Exporting Краны to Central Asia: Казахстан and Узбекистан Руководство покупателя

Central Asia is one of the fastest-growing destinations for Chinese crane exports, driven by mining expansions in Казахстан, infrastructure programs in Узбекистан, and logistics investment along the Khorgos gateway. For procurement managers sourcing верхнеподвесные краны, козловые краны, or light lifting systems from Китай, the three decisions that determine project success are the transport route, the Incoterm, and the certification package. This guide covers each with practical detail for Казахстан and Узбекистан buyers.

Why Khorgos Is the Default Overland Gateway

Khorgos sits on the China–Kazakhstan border in Xinjiang and functions as both a road and rail interchange. For crane buyers, it offers three advantages over sea freight via Aktau or Bandar Abbas:

  • Transit time: A 40HQ container of crane components обычно clears Khorgos in 3–7 days and reaches Almaty in 5–8 days, Tashkent in 10–14 days, and Shymkent in 7–10 days. Sea alternatives add 25–35 days.
  • Breakbulk capability: Double-girder cranes such as the LH 5–50T or QD 5–150T often ship as girders over 12 m. Khorgos handles flatbed and low-bed road trailers, so long girders can move without the container-size constraint of ocean freight.
  • Rail option: China–Europe block trains via Khorgos accept 40FT and 45FT containers, useful for KBK light rail systems, MD/CD electric hoists, and DHP electric chain hoists shipped in volume.

Practical note: girders longer than 11.5 m may require a low-bed trailer with escort permits in Казахстан. Splitting a QD double-girder into two half-girders with field bolting is standard practice and avoids oversized-load surcharges.

DAT vs Other Incoterms: What Central Asia Buyers Should Choose

DAT (Delivered at Terminal) is the most requested term for Казахстан and Узбекистан projects, and for good reason. Under DAT, the seller delivers to a named terminal — commonly the Khorgos dry port, Almaty rail terminal, or Tashkent logistics hub — and the buyer handles import clearance and final inland delivery.

  • DAT Khorgos: Best for buyers with their own customs broker in Казахстан. Seller controls the China-side leg and border crossing; buyer controls Kazakh import duty and VAT.
  • DAT Almaty / Tashkent: Seller carries the goods through the border and to the named terminal. Recommended when the buyer has limited freight experience or when the crane is a single large единица such as an MG double-girder gantry.
  • DAP vs DAT: DAP requires the seller to deliver to a named place, often the buyer's site, which shifts unloading risk. For cranes, DAT at a terminal is usually cleaner because the buyer's rigging team controls the final lift.
  • FOB/EXW: Only advisable if the buyer already runs regular China–Central Asia freight. Otherwise, coordination gaps at Khorgos cause demurrage.

Regardless of term, specify in the contract who handles EAC declaration, who pays the Kazakh 12% VAT, and who insures the inland leg. Ambiguity here is the most common cause of delivery disputes.

Сертификация for Казахстан and Узбекистан

Both countries are in the Eurasian Economic Union (EAEU) customs area for Казахстан, and Узбекистан applies its own conformity regime. The key certificates for cranes are:

  • EAC / TR CU 010/2011: Mandatory for machinery entering Казахстан, Россия, Belarus, Armenia, and Kyrgyzstan. Covers crane safety requirements. Issued after technical file review; some models require factory audit.
  • TR CU 020/2011: Electromagnetic compatibility, applies to crane control panels and drives.
  • Uzbekistan: Accepts EAC for many categories but may require an additional Uzbek certificate of conformity (O'zDSt) for hoisting equipment. Confirm with the local importer before shipment.
  • CE and ISO: Not legally required in Central Asia but frequently demanded by EPC contractors and international lenders funding the project.

Chunhua Кран supplies CE, EAC (TR CU 010/020), and supporting documentation for Uzbek registration. For QD, YZ, and QDS smart unmanned cranes, the technical file includes design calculations to GB/T 3811, with FEM 1.001, DIN 15018, or CMAA #70 available on request for projects specifying European or US design codes.

Model Selection Notes for Central Asian Sites

  • Горнодобывающая промышленность and metallurgy: YZ metallurgical cranes (5–125T) suit Kazakhstan's steel and smelting plants; specify heat-shielded cabins and Q345B structural steel for temperature cycling.
  • Container yards: RMG rail-mounted container козловые краны are the standard for Khorgos-adjacent dry ports and Tashkent logistics hubs.
  • Склад and workshop: LD single-girder 0.5–20T and KBK light rail systems cover most Uzbek light-industrial and warehouse builds at lower capital cost.
  • Parking infrastructure: PSH puzzle-stack and PPYL vertical-lift systems are increasingly specified in Almaty and Tashkent commercial developments.

Lead Times, Quote Response, and Support

Standard production runs 30–45 days from drawing approval, with no MOQ on any of the 81 standard models. Quotes are returned within a 4-hour SLA, and every crane ships with a 12-month warranty. Components are sourced from Schneider, Siemens, ABB, and SEW, which matters for Central Asian buyers because spare parts are available through regional distributors rather than requiring China-only sourcing.

For route planning, certification questions, or a model-specific quote, contact Chunhua Кран directly: WhatsApp +86 193 9277 7259 or email yuhua0095@gmail.com. Share your site location, span, capacity, and lifting height, and the team will confirm the correct model, the DAT terminal option, and the certification path for your country.
